also, my dog had no anesthesia, and she wagged her tail the whole time... i have seen dogs hurt a little by it, but only for a second... it's a hyopdermic needle, so its really sharp and goes in and out quickly... i would do it if they are under anyways, but it won't e too bad without anesthesia...
