That would be a smart move on your part.I have one heated rod(not a GoldenRod) that's close to 25 years old.It still works fine and never had a moisture problem in that Vault. It's recommended to get the biggest Rod that will fit your safe. Golden Rod has four sizes.Listed in Midsouth's catalog. 12" 8 watt 24.00, 18" 12 watt 25.83,24" 15 watt 27.50 and the 36" 25 watt 29.13. The 12" & 18"have a 6' long cord,the others have a 10'cord.
