Default RE: Ruger Trigger

I do all my own triggers if possible but most of my rifles are Remington's and aren't that hard to do. The only Ruger i have is a 10/22 so i don't have a clue as to adjusting the trigger on a Ruger. If i don't soon find a Remington chambered in 260 then i'll soon be the owner of a new Ruger and i'd like to learn more about the trigger on one myself. I'm fortunate to have a friend who is a good gunsmith but i like to tinker so i try to do my own work. Having said that let me add that i've been to his house on more than one occasion with a gun and a bag full of parts for him to put back together. As for the Timney trigger i installed one in a Remington Sendero and found it to be a very good trigger. I don't like changing trigger's out but sometimes you have to in order to get a trigger that you're comfortable with. If the local guy you spoke of can adjust the trigger that's the route i think i would take and that seems to be a fair price for the work. Good luck.
