I have a very understanding wife, although she's not quite as enthusiastic about hunting or shooting as I am. But if I'm looking at a rifle for myself, I don't really see the need to justify the purchase to her. I don't force her to buy things she doesn't want, and she doesn't force me not to buy things I want. If she doesn't want me to kill critters, then too bad. She can stay at home, and I'll go and do my thing.
