That is one fine animal in my book, Tribal. In recent years I have had 2 in range. A 11 ptr., possible 150 & a 12 ptr. possible 160. 11 was in pre-season scouting. Big fella came to 11 yards of my ladder stand and presented himself broadside. 12 was this yr., came down off a ridgetop in hot pursuit of a doe. I had an instant when he was clear but sad to say I was not prepared for that 1 instant. Still kicking myself over that but I sure learned to be prepared. I too am not into the scoring thing. I know all about it and how they are scored but I simply have my own image of a trophy. Those who are really into the scoring thing are ok in my book but it's just my opinion that it is not too important in the big picture. I just love to hunt and take one, pass on one, miss one, or not see one. It is all pure enjoyment for myself whatever the outcome of any particular hunt. If I ever lose that pure enjoyment I will then know it is time to move on to some other pleasure. I do hope that day never comes but if it ever does I will reflect upon those thrilling days of yesteryear and thank my Creator for having blessed me.
