The best and easiest feeder we ever made hardley cost a dime. We took an empty wire spool (you can get these for free from the local electric or telephone company). We then wrapped the spool with wire fencing, leaving a door to fill it. Then just slide a pole through the center and mount it between 2 trees. It works great and it hardley cost a nickel.
