Default RE: FYI, Colorado fee increases?

It wouldn't surprise me that there will be some real changes in the CO DOW set up on fees. We all know that no matter what dollars set the stage for how we do things, working with what we can afford.

CO has had its problems in a bad ratio of male to female in both deer and elk species. The best way to approach that is to charge more for a bull tag than a cow tag. Nowwe find out who the sportsman are, the meat hunters adn those who look for racks. Don;'t get me wrong, we allhave our reasons for hunting what we do, and I guess a rack is as good a reason as meat in this day and age. The main thing is for game management purposes, keeping healthy herds, we need to trim the elk herd down and the best way is taking the cow numbers down.

As to CO out of state fees, not sure how they stack up withother states but I went to KS a few years back for a buck deer and that tag in total ran me 250 on the buck, and 60 for a general license, gee.. thats 330 bucks. So 270 for a mulie? mmmmmmm Only 440 for an elk ?? mmmmmmmm

Well, thats today's thought. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
