RE: FYI, Colorado fee increases?
th58, already did the e-mail, but last years increase was a rousing success, less hunters and more revenue, exactly as I predicted last year, so now that they know that we will pay a large increase for a tag , they also know that $20 or $30 more won't make any difference to nonresidents, plus after a low harvest in 2001 there will be a lot of game next year(unless they have a bad winter) so we'll flock to colorado in 2001,I also cautioned them that lowering the cow tag price would only work if the weather next year was bad enough to have migration during hunting season, most cow hunters are easy access hunters and if the elk are'nt down and accesible then it won't work,I also suggested that instead of 4 seasons, have 2 seasons two weeks long, 10/1 to 10/15 and 11/1 to 11/15 that would make it easier for nonresidents to wait out good or bad weather, as it is now if its 65degrees and you have a 5 to 7day season or if you get snowed out it would give you a bigger window waiting for a weather change, just my opinion usahunter
