Once u get a gun, you should try to find a hunting buddy that is somewhat experienced, because it's kinda hard to just walk out into the woods and just wing it. I would start out hunting on public land, cuz like buckslayer said, its free. Then once you get into it you can look around for a good place to lease. I don't know what part of Florida you live in but here in central florida there are a ton of hunting leases. I hunt on one of the leases owned by the Mormons, its 20,000 acres and it really is great hunting. They own several hundred thousand acres, so if you live anywhere near central florida, any of the hunting leases on the morman ranch are good spots to go when you're ready to get off of the public land.
