Look on eBay. You can find a killer deal on a brand new scope, plus you can "buy it now" to avoid the hassel of winning a bidding war. I bought a brand new, in the box Leupold VX-II last fall for $258 TOTAL and I couldn't be happier with it.
This is a good time to buy anything hunting related. You have plenty of time to find a good deal and sellers have to get rid of their old stock.
