Bigc I realize that and I know that the 30-06 is never used today as a sniper rifle at all but I'm telling you that Hathcock used a 30-06. I have read Marine Sniper a few times and am all most positive of it. If I didn't let someone borrow it I guess I could quote from it. I work in law enforcement and .308 is really all we use for any sniper applications so.........anyway.
