But I would do both, put an ad in the paper, WI has a lot of hunters and many people are willing to lease their land because they get money out of it, and then drive around out there, checking places out, if a piece of land catches your eye, stop at the owners place and talk to him, explain, that you are a good hunter, if you have to, show him your shooting skills, and tell him if he needs help, you might be able to help them, I have gotten permission to hunt land this way a lot, and heck is he gets money, he thinks that is even better!
