Default RE: What Manufacturer

Redding dies are generally superb. So are Forster Benchrest dies! But Lyman, RCBS, Dillon, Saeco, Lee and others make some tools for some jobs that are the only ones that are available for certain things.

Some say the Lee crimp dies are the ones to use. Lyman makes the "M" dies for expanding bottleneck case mouths for cast bullets. Lyman, NEI, LBT, Saeco (Redding),Rapine, and any number of custom makers produce great bullet moulds and bullet sizing equipment. Hornady dies and presses are also excellent, as are Forster dies and presses!

We were probably better off back in the days before there weren't so many excellent choices of gear for reloading! It was a lot easier to choose your tools then!! Now it's a major problem solving drill just to buy a set of dies!
