It happened to me once on my first bow but it didn't do any damage either. Most of todays bow can take a dry fire and be fine, but, when you get into the multiple dry-fires, you are BEGGING for trouble. The best bet is to make 100% sure you don't dry fire you bow. My past two bows were never dry-fired and I am sure that I will never dry fire my new bow when it comes in!!!!!1
