My little huntin buddy.
2yo daughter Laura.
Actually, she's a lousey hunting buddy. I let her sit with my wife in my rifle blind while I bowhunted a few weeks ago and I was seranted with " Where go daddy??" and "momma! see it ! owl WHO! WHO!" "Where deer? No see deer. Where deer? I don't know!" They got up and left about 4:30 and I see a little munchkin in a pink jacket toddling down the trail. I had to laugh. I lost a hunt, but that was priceless. My wife knew it would happen, but I couldn't stand not giving it a shot. She'll learn. She loves deer. She wants me to read hunting magazines to her all the time. Before her 2nd bday she knew a deer from and elk, and antelope(annlope) from a pig, buffalo(buff-a-lo), eagle, owl, rabbit, etc. She didn't get from me, my wife is the smart one, but then, she married me, so how smart is she?? She doesn't hunt, but after I got my first buck this year, she rolled up her sleeves and we butchered it together. That's quality time!! Fun to see all the jaws drop around camp when they saw this. None of the other women will tough a dead deer unless it been cut up, frozen and ready to go in the pan. I'm babbliong now.. . sorry. . .
