I also watch the Outdoor Channel and I did catch a fire chase Deer hunt in PA on one of the shows and it was interesting.
Besides the canned kills and high fence hunts on the shows you also get the hunts from out West where it is actually a combination of a hunting show and advertisement for the Outfitters. I don't see anything wrong with those shows as long as they treat their average customer as well as they do the film crew.
I've hunted fair chase with outfitters on public land that have been featured and I was more than pleased with my hunt.
