I have a 13 y/o aussie/springer mix who has gotten car sick on all long car trips. It does happen to dogs too, lol! He loves to go places, but absolutely hates the car rides because of the fact they make him sick. My vet told us years ago to give him Drammamine(sp), and it works like a charm. Just follow the directions on the box (I think you have to give it to him an hour or two before the trip). We have taken him on 8 hour plus rides and he is fine as long as he has the drammamine. You can get it just about anywhere as it is the same stuff that you give to people who get motion sickness.
