Default Treading on Thin (protocol) Ice!!!

I made be "treading on thin ice"?!? I don't know. I've never received any kind of rebuff on this site from moderators....or anything else. And I am also fairly new to this site.....and "brand new" (last week) to the bowhunting.forum. So I really do not know if I'm "stepping on toes".

I have noticed that the inquiry about the "Equipment Thread" was just openly locked!

I have also noticed that the "Equipment Thread" itself is not openly locked...but it comes up with an error message. I also know that you can still access the Equipment Thread by "expanding" the thread and pulling up a single comment at a time, (a pain in the butt...but still doable). I assumed that it was a program glitch (until I saw the subsequent inquiry locked). If the moderators wanted it locked...why wouldn't they just openly "lock it"? And if they didn't want it viewed....then why not just openly "delete" it"? It would seem to me that if they were choosing to censor the subject....that they would just delete it! It would certainly draw less attention that way. (Unless an "appearance of something else" is trying to be put on? And that is the comment that may get me openingly censored, because I do realize that I am on someone else's bandwidth. And if that is the case....please just be forthright about it....I do understand that "he who owns the ball....decides when the game is over".)

Well if it does....at least I will have an honest idea of what is occurring, or an honest answer to "what the deal is"? As it stands now I'm not sure if there has "simply been a glitch", or there is a "taboo" subject with someone....or if there may be individuals (or groups) that garner special privileges? Any way....I'd prefer to know openly than to having all the suspicions.

Have a good day.....and thanks, hopefully, for the answers!
