Box Calls come in a number of different kinds sizes and makes. I find wood tends to have a better sound over plastic. There is the Common Original box , then you have Boat Paddles that are used more for volume. QuakerBoy has the 10-sider that one can use to make a number of different tones with the one call. There also is a number of Custom box calls out , some are collectors and others are useable , what ever you would perfer. Custom Calls are made of higher end wood and there is far more time put into the call , but the $ value is higher aswell. As in strikers Box calls can have different sound with different woods.

Some here like BrokenBucket use Custom calls and can maybe give you the hunting angle of these calls...BT
