thats what i mean mrlongbeard...i dont even shoot pheasants with 7 1/2!! it jsut doesnt have the knochdown power...and them pellets are tiny! a #4 looks like buckshot compared to a 7 1/2...it just wont hit hard enough...ya sure you can kill turkeys with it...but a bigger shot will do it alot better...thats like using a 22 for deer...ya it will kill it(with a well well placed shoot)...but not cleanly...
