RE: Buying new ML - Which one?
my CVA pissed me off the first day of the season. I put it in the case, and when I pulled it out the piece of junk front sight was busted. it is a plastic base holding the fiber optic sight. I had enough of it left that I sighted it back in using the top of what was left of the post. I found a replacement (front and rear set) for $20, but it was the same piece of junk. I talked to a gun shop, and he said all the CVA sights were plastic like that, AND CVA has a different thread size than everyone else, so he would have to redrill and tap the barrel to put a new TC steel sight on. That is going to cost me $20 for the sight, and $17 labor to redrill.
If I was to buy another CVA, I would plan on paying the cost of a replacement sight in the beginning so you don't have to sight the thing in again and again.
