I saw
Colorado Luckydog where he made a post about a new bow string, and nobody replied. ...Sad. This forum used to be hopping back in the day!
So, let me try and create a post and see if it gets some interest - probably not as much as on the 24hr Campfire or on AT (Archery Talk)...
A while back I was trying to make a joke on social media (Facebook) about nosing around Cabela's. I ventured into their archery dept and joked about all the compound bows, and even the traditional stuff (recurves). Righthanded, righthanded, righthanded, righthanded, etc... I joked about discrimination against lefties.
Anyway, an old USCG buddy of mine sent me one of those popup Facebook messages...
"Hey, uh, you know.... I got a little something you might be interested in"....
2017 Mission by Mathews Hype DT
LEFTHANDED compound bow, Victory Decimator 350 arrows, a couple Beman ICS Hunter 400 arrows, and four 100gr Slick Tricks!
I asked him if he was serious and what he wanted for it. Completely blew my mind --- FREE!!
Then, sadly, he went into a brief bit of tragic medical issues and things.... Mini stroke (which damaged his left arm/shoulder), heart surgery, stents, etc... and that's when the cardiologists had to tell him,
"You're done..." and that was the end. He said he and his son dialed the bow back down to 50# and he still couldn't draw it back, so it just sat around collecting dust!
I can leave it at 50#, 29" draw, and practice with the Beman 400 spine arrows, and get myself back in form after probably 15 years, almost 20 years. Once I'm steady and accurate, I can tighten the limb bolts evenly and crank it back up to 60#, 65#, and use Victory Decimator 350's.
Anyone remember these? Wow.... I am still speechless!!! It needs nothing and is still absolutely perfect as is!
