RE: San Diego Folks
CK, I'm also a transplant from N.Y., Syracuse, don't know anything about the island, however, San Diego is what you make of it, I've been here since 1979 and have seen a lot of changes, its not for everybody but keep in mind our main economy is tourism , so somebody must like the wonderful weather/beaches full of beautiful women/cars with no rust/ no snow, but if you ski its only 2hrs away/ great pig hunting /good varmint hunting/casino's/a zillion acres to 4 wheel in/ plenty of deer hunting( notice I didn't say deer killing)/lots of tourist attractions-disneyland-sea world-knotts berry farm- universal studios etc, I will admit freeway driving takes some getting used to, but when I visit N.Y. I feel like I'm in slow motion, so its all a matter of getting used to something new,I hear the fishing is great off San Clemente Island
