Now those are some big calibers but having hunted elk for many years and seen a few get hit and not go down I would agree with the bigger is better option. I have used a 28 Nosler for the last few years and love it. Although, last year it took 3 shots in the boiler to knock down a good mature bull which left me questioning my setup.
