Default Bizarre gun issue

Hi everyone, I have a Remington 870 pump action 12 gauge. I was getting ready to take it out clay pigeon shooting tomorrow, when I noticed that there was a small problem. You see, when I pump the gun, it is showing a lot of resistance. I cleaned the gun. I checked for obstructions. There were no obstructions, but something is obstructing the pump action mechanism.

I traced it to the chamber. It looks like somethings been rubbing against the side of the guns interior. I can see where it’s been rubbing when the chamber is closed.

I don’t know if something is dented, or if there is another problem I cannot see. I will try to get pictures uploaded later, as I’m having problems right now.

Any idea what the problem could be? Again, I will get pictures uploaded as soon as I can.
