I NEVER suggested the 223 was better ,
, just pointed out that in skilled hands it does work reasonably well,
and the AR10 platform allows several options that the AR15 might not,
I think its a darn nice varmint rifle and it should be fantastic on coyotes,
and bob cats etc. on small game, like coyotes, its ideal.
as stated earlier Id love to own or build a clone,
and yes a 223 ar15,is fully proven to work on hogs and deer at reasonable ranges with correct ammo being used.
what Id tried to point out is that the AR10 basic format has other options that might be better on larger game like deer.
the 22-250 is a great varmint rifle with a flat trajectory and yes more punch than a 223 rem,
but a larger bore and heavier projectile does have benefits on deer size game
the gentleman built a great varmint rifle , in fact a very impressive one!
its just not as versatile as something in 6MM, 6.5MM, 7mm or maybe 30 cal for deer hunting
