This was something I did and wanted to do for a long time. Everybody knows the region they hunt and what can be used to harvest game in their respective area. I know the area, the game I hunt, and my shooting capabilities. Just as a disclaimer, I do own a 6.8 SPC that I use for hogs and deer for the past 5 years. But anyway, I did not post my build to create a debate on specific calibers. I wanted to see reactions on the build and answer questions if anyone had them. For those who liked it, thank you.

I do like the finish. How or where did you have that done and what pattern is it?

Whose receiver set? Straight up AR-10/LFAR or a GII type?

That's a very nice rig and makes a great deal of sense to me, both of my bolt guns are due for new barrels one being the 220 swift and the 22-250, ben talking about stepping up the twist to handle 60-80 grain, but that semi looks more fun, maybe time to let the bolt guns go to the kids

Straight AR10 build. Followed the APF build for upper. Aero precision for much of the lower and components. Magpul Stock.
https://www.cerakote.com/gallery/det...bazooka-green/. That is where I got the pattern from just random searches online.

A guy I know painted it.

I've always thought a .220 Swift AR would be REALLY cool. I've never seen one though.

Finally able to shoot it but conditions were pretty bad. Really nice temperature wise and sunny in northeast Florida, but the wind is crazy! Over 20mph. Got a good starting point. I also was shooting off a cooler, so I didnt have a solid rest either. Had one feeding issue (shot 9x) So I'll have to look into that more. But it looks like it will be a shooter. I was just using Factory Fedral 55 grain.
