TXhunter58,

In reference to your #2 statement,

"2) BH 209 is hard to ignite and you need a strong primer, but not sure it will ignite unless directly under the primer."

What inline has the powder positioned directly under the primer??

It is my understanding that all well designed breech plug will have a 5/52 flash channel of at least .5" in length then an orface of aproxamatly.03125. This orface is commonly called the vent . many have replacable vents.

I believe if western has given the Ok then they are aware of the design of the 209 adapter that will be used and the OP will be good to go.

Check Graf and sons for Harvestor green sabots for 44 boolitz. the 240Gr lead swc may be short enough to stabilize in 1x75 . Grafs may also have the RB sabots.

It is my opinion and findings that the resistence of a minimum of 35lbs to push sabot and projectile down the bore will be nessisary for good ignition of the BH209. IMHO BH209 needs a tight fitting combo to get it lit properly.
