7.62x54 is a pretty powerful round. I am sure 150 to 202 grain would kill any hogs. I shot a bear last spring with mine with 174 grain Hornady hand load. Double lung shot. Took both lungs and part of the heart out. It ran 20 yards and died and never even let out the death moan. I wouldn't think twice of taking a moose with that round so look out piggies.
