Blackelk, I don't think you read what I said. I try to shoot everything in the head or neck. I have in the past shot them behind the shoulder but it messes up meat on the shoulder with blood and nasty crap. The shoulders don't deliver but a couple pounds of meat according to the guy who processes most of my deer but it's a mess. I am not a "ballistics specialist" hence my asking the question of gun folks to see if there is a bullet for the gun to do less damage. I'm too old to be buying a new deer gun at 70 but I could go back to my old Winchester 30-30.
