Positive features/experiences:
I wear corrective eyeglasses. I like the rubber cups that I can place against my glasses and still see through the binoculars, for example by rolling down the rubber eye cups.




Conditions:
Cold weather: 15+ degrees F up to 50+ degrees F. Falling snow, blowing snow. Low light performance is important to me, though not that much of my hunting occurs in low light. When you need it, though, you need it. Therefore I buy binoculars with sufficiently large objective lenses for the magnification of the binoculars. I tend to restrict my magnification to 8x when buying binoculars because I use them holding them steady in my hands. I can't hold 10x steady enough by hand to actually see the greater resolution offered by 10x over 8x.
