Jersey hunter has it right, in my opinion. I use almost the exact set up he describes and I love it. It is nice to have the adjustable power scope. I also like the cantilever barrel because I can switch barrels without impacting the accuracy of the scope I already sighted in.
My vote is for 12 Gauge, Semi-auto, 22 inch rifled barrel, camo pattern, cantilevered barrel and a 1.5-4.5x scope. I have the Browning Gold Deer Hunter with a Swift scope. Deadly to 125 yds, no problem.
