i reccomend a semi auto as well. they usually are nicer to shoot than a pump. also put a fixed objective 4x scope. most of our shooting is like 50-100 yards and a 4x scope seems to work the best for us. i also reccomend a cantilever scope mount b/c a gun may expand or contract b/c of the cold. have fun
