Default RE: Accuracy and reliability of pumps?

I started with a 308 win in a 7600, also have owned 3006 and 270 in the rem 7600, all were reliable and good hunting rifles. I personally prefer a bolt now and know my accuracy has improved from my pump days but can' t say that is due to the bolt or just more range time. BTW I am southpaw as well and use lh bolts[8D]. One thing I will say is follow up shots on pumps, semis and levers are quicker than bolts and this can lead to skewing the accuracy or field results somewhat, I found that if a follow up shot is required I take more time with a bolt vs when I used a pump (again that is just my experience, I had far more one shot kills with both offerings and believe your first shot is usual the best shot anyway).
