Those usually end up in a bidding war. $700 isnt a terrible price but ive seen better for a SS model not long ago. A MLII in SS now usually ends up in the $1000+ range.

I do know where to find a Savage CF conversion with a Mcgowan 45. I think the guy was wanting about $1100 with a plain Jane Accustock. If i ever build another it will be with a Brux barrel.

Savage/Stevens conversions are pretty simple if you have the barrel nut wrench. The barrel swap is much easier than converting a Rem700 type action.
