The Turkish guns are in some cases much better than they used to be, so I would not discriminate against them the way it was necessary to ten years ago. Just read a lot of reviews on whatever model you're looking at.
In some cases, like with the Stoeger Condor, you really want to hold the gun and test the break-action for stiffness---quality control is inconsistent with some models, in this regard, but when you find a good one, it's pleasant to point and the action operates easily.
