Of course it is, but it works better when the load consists of
more powder. There are better bullets available when crafting low recoil/beginner loads. The
200g Gold Dot worked good when the powder charge was only 50 grain, as did the
185g Controlled Fracturing bullet, and the
250g Monoflex.
Surely, none of these would leave a lesser blood trail, than the PT did.
