Default 200g Gold Dot--50g Blackhorn

The bullet featured this morning was the 44 caliber 200 grain Gold Dot. Intended for use in a 44 special revolver as a defense load, it seemed it might be ideal, to use in a reduced recoil load for a rifle. The bullet was shot through carpet, plywood, and water jugs at 25 yard.

Interesting video there. Nice expansion too. It would make a good short range low velocity load for say ... children and small people recoil sensitive. I have 200 grain XTPs but they are .40 or 10mm caliber. They shoot really good.

Here, regulation require one to shoot 44 caliber, or larger, bullets.

I think our muzzleloader requirement is 40 caliber or bigger. So I guess it might still be alright. But that would be something to look into.
