In this case the bear was along a road when it died and not a good place to work on it.

Yeah, a bear isn't something you can just run off with. Especially one of that size.

My question was: was it someone trying to harvest a bear out of season? Or was it someone who decided to deal with a nuisance bear on their own terms? Either way, it's a pretty crappy thing to do.

I didn't realize this happened in 2014. Thought it was recent.
