What's with all the sudden concern about recoil on these mild rifles? Shoot the rifle and if the recoil bothers you, don't shoot it anymore or get some sort of recoil reducing device like a pad, muzzle brake or put lead in the stock. Alot of recoil is in your head. If you think it is going to hurt it will. Be positive and don't worry about the recoil. Concentrate on the fundamentals and you shouldn't even feel the shot.
