So I got out of bed around 7:00[] I made coffee for the wife. I look out to see if the deer ate all the corn and apples by the patio last night.... they had of course. I walk back and get a refill. I walk back to the window. Now where did that little 4 pointer come from at this time of day. I live in a neighborhood. There he is, 20 yards away licking up bird seed like a vacuum cleaner. He does that for 15 minutes and then starts working on the shrubbery 15 yards from the door. Then he move over what' s left of the day lillie stalks. Then he works on the money grass by the patio. He' s now 5 yards from the window. I guess he finally had his fill and wandered off across the road to check the neighbors apple tree. I guess he finally crossed the school yard and went to the swamp. I had my bow hanging right there by the door. It would have been a chip shot from the sliding glass door off the sun porch. UNFORTUNATELY, I had left my digital camera in the car when I came from hunting yesterday or you' d have some real nice close up pictures. DRATS!!! Mayb I should have shot him and we' d have pictures.[:-]
