There is a ring from firing and also scratches from opening/closing the action. The owners solution was to use a layer of masking tape over the anvil cup side of the primer.
Its still my opinion a steel bushing around the firing pin is a far better design. Im not a fan of alloy frames at all especially when you can have a SS frame such as in the Scout V2 at nearly the same weight. Thats a neat little rifle for the price.
