I only bought OE once. It was only $1.00 more than regular Goex and I paid $16lb for OE. Swiss at the time was $25.95.

I see now they raised the price of OE to $18.59. So, it isn't $10 cheaper anymore. Maybe someone can explain how they added the extra power for what was originally just $1.00 lb more in price? Now it's still just $1.50 more than Goex. What do they bother to even make the regular Goex anymore? I think they do for those who want real black powder. I know Swiss gets a lot more time processing it and it uses the best alder wood for charcoal. It's the reason it cost more. What is Hodgden doing to make OE equal to Swiss and only has to charge $1.50 more? Something isn't right.
