At 72 there no envy i had my fun, just want my grand kids to have the fun i had. Last year was a bad year had to spend most of the time in camp ticker giving me fits, am i jealous of folks that got a deer hell no, we have a 6pt. rule in camp
Are you saying your grandkids have to kill a buck in order to have fun deer hunting? Seems pretty shallow-minded to me. Some of the best memories I have of are hunting trips with my grandfathers back in CO where nobody punched a tag. Just being with them made it all worthwhile. Now that both of those old gentlemen have gone to their rewards, I'd give literally everything I have to spend one more day in the woods with them and if we don't see a deer, no big deal.
Frankly at 72, I'd expect less complaining and more appreciation of being able to hunt with your grandkids. But if you have a 6 pt rule then you're limiting the bucks they can even consider taking. I've never believed in point restrictions. Let people tag the buck they want to tag without putting restrictions on it. Can't eat antlers anyways which is why I tag out on does.
