Trip7, You seem to not understand terminal ballistics very well. Let me try to explain my concerns about the PB bullet a little bit here. While yes that bullet in the very first post of this very long thread did blow up the plywood as well as that first jug, it would NOT have penetrated PAST a shoulder! All that "energy" you are talking about would have been redistributed throughout the muscle and tissue OUTSIDE of the bone structure. Effectively destroying the shoulder but not causing an immediate mortal wound. A deer hit in the shoulder under those circumstances of the test (I.E. speed and distance) would have been injured and more than likely NOT killed immediately. For a bullets "energy" to remain effective, it HAS to get INTO a vital area to cause damage.

I'm not going ALL by reports, I have seen with my own 2 eyes the ineffectiveness of this bullet. Actually it was a bullet that is supposidely BETTER than the bullet Ron used for testing. Same ineffectual result in not just 1 but 2 whitetail Doe. You ask how they can be in the top 3? It's because they have millions of dollars behind them with CVA, BPI owning them and have one of the best marketing strategies in the business. They are accurate as can be, I don't believe anyone has denied their accuracy, so I'm thinking that most of the repeat buyers are those that haven't really researched (done their homework) on this particular brand of bullet. Are there a lot of deer killed with them every year? Of course there are, when you have thousands using a product you are BOUND to get some good results no matter how bad the bullet performs. And then there are those, like Pete, that take only a VERY CHOICE shot because they actually DO know the very limited capabilities of this bullet brand and still use it because of it's easy loading and accuracy capabilities.
