The Dead Center is designed to penetrate thru the deer. It doesn't expand enough for me. The video at prbullet shows a pass-thru.
Super Hunt mentioned trusting a bullet. Well I would have trusted that 252 gr hollow=point shown at the beginning of this thread. It still retained 172 grains and mushroomed big-time. It was the only bullet where the plywood was destroyed - first jug was destroyed, and tossed 15-20 feet away.
There's no doubt that all the bone concerns Super Hunt mentioned would have produced a big-time mess inside that deer, had Ron's pictured bullet on page-1 of this thread hit a deer shoulder, instead of that plywood.
I do not use Powerbelts. But the attack on the pictured one shown is asinine. That jug thrown 15-20 feet was still holding a-lot of energy to disperse in that deer, compounded by a big mushroom already produced.
There's a reason REPEAT Powerbelt users keep going back to the store and buying more of those bullets. There's a reason that bullet remains a top-3 seller in this country.
The reason is NOT because it's a known failure to harvest. If it was, then the Powerbelt Co would be out-of-business by now. Repeat customers means it's working. 50 year-long roundball users means the the 177 gr. round piece of lead-bullet is working just fine. Again,., the 95 percenters are shooting 1-100 yards. If the other 5% want to bash these bullets, then so be it. But the end-result never changes the mind of Powerbelt and roundball users...... never.
