LMAO, I think his point was (kinda sorta in a roundabout way) that you can sometimes get a good rifle a little cheaper with those combo deals. I remember a while back Dick's had a combo Savage deal with a pretty worthless Simmons or Bushnell (can't remember which POS glass it was) on it but the combo deal was still less than the bare rifle a few months earlier. Picked it up for my Grandson, threw a decent Nikon Prostaff on it and had a nice little deer rifle for the kid.
