Thanks for all the input. 1950kid, I am waiting on the DGW catalog to show up on my door any day. I had a friend of mine tell me to get one because I would really like to try my hand at assembling a kit bp shotgun and he said that he thought DGW offered a few quality shotgun kits. It's funny you would mention the choke tubes because I thought that was odd myself for a traditional looking gun to have screw in chokes. It also caught my fancy because I will use the gun for everything from doves to turkey and I thought that the option of the xtra full choke would be handy. What would the max effective range of a cyl. bore gun be on a turkey? 25-30yds. max? The reason I am so full of questions is I have never owned or fired a bp shotgun. I've been into the rifles for a long time but never got the urge for the shotgun until recently.
