Alright thanks guys, i figured it would be powerful enough cause the velocity is higher than the 3" shells i have but i guess i am more worried about the shot count, but since i got #5 in 3" and #6 in 2 3/4" i would imagine their shot count is equivalent to each other, gonna get out this weekend to pattern and hope to have good results,

You'll be fine with the 2 3/4" loads as long as they pattern decent in your gun. I've never used anything but 2 3/4" loads with #5 or #6 shot and have never had a problem killing birds out to 40 yards. The punch is there as long as you can get a decent number of pellets in the head/neck zone.
