Pretty much a big varmiter. I'd say that's right on target if you want to shoot long range. Pencil barrels are just not as accurate with that much powder volume. It takes a might fine tuned rifle to blast out 90+ grains of powder on target. Out of the box the Sendero is one of the better long range shooters. More barrel mass less barrel whip and vibration. I truly never understood barrel vibration until playing with Ruger No. 1's. There is all kinds of ways to tune a rifle barrel. But it can drive you crazy in the mean time.
